WARNING – House Break Occurred on Friday

I just wanted to send out a warning to alert Leicester residents that a house break occurred on Friday afternoon on Hemlock Street near Whittemore Street.   The house was entered between 1:00 PM – 2:30 PM and a number of items were taken.    A police K-9 which came to the area tracked the possible route used by the suspect(s) approaching the house.   The route was identified as starting on Whittemore Street (just north of Hemlock).   The track indicates that the suspect(s) may have come through the woods.    We are asking anyone who saw any suspicious activity in this area to please contact Sgt. Paul Doray at (508) 892-7010 or via e-mail at dorayp@leicesterma.org .

Residents area also asked to remember to lock their homes at all times when they are not home and to please report any suspicious activity that you see in your neighborhoods immediately to the Leicester Police Department.    Working together we can combat this type of crime !!!!

Frequently the police department is told about suspicious activity after it has occurred and unfortunately after a crime has occurred.   Many witnesses while often comment they did not want to call the police and bother them.   Please if you see suspicious or unusual activity in your neighborhood or anywhere in town call….call….call….call the Leicester Police Department immediately.   We need this type of information to help us combat house breaks and other criminal activity.
